Quite different, however, I feel the Type Cover. In my view, it is the writing comfort damn close to a real desktop keyboard. Of course, it is less and also the key travel is relatively low, but it is noticeable and there is enough for feeling a real keyboard to have perfectly made.
In the other reviews the Type Cover is partly quite bad fared. While I can understand the gennannten criticisms, but for me it does not matter. My purpose is normal writing in Word, some Excel, PowerPoint, Internet surfing, lightweight CAD, .... For the mixed office life so things have as you can press 5 buttons simultaneously has absolutely no relevance. I do not even been noticed. Some keys could of course be a bit bigger, but it's just a mini-keyboard. If you like working with Excel would perhaps prefer a numeric keypad have ... So if you have very specific requirements pertaining to a keyboard takes maybe better a desktop Bluetooth solution for its Surface.
For someone like me does not have any special requests on a keyboard, but simply write only good would that can safely access with type keyboard. Together with a Bluetooth mouse, you realize not much of the perhaps too small field of Touch Type Covers. Which to me, however, also works perfectly.
The soft material of the back like it very much and also to the other processing can not be faulted. Furthermore, I am not of the opinion that the keyboard especially all bulky compared to the Touch Cover, with regard to the overall dimensions of the unit. It still disappears like a thin book in my pocket.
The price is obviously high, but each is known in advance. The device manufacturer partially subsidize the price of the product to quite expensive accessories, is common practice and also with other manufacturers so the case. I would buy the keyboard definitely go back because they simply best matches the Surface and it absolutely met my needs.
