The scale, ordered and delivered directly through Amazon, arrived promptly - 3 days upon order - at me.
I like the look of the Soehnle Slim Design excellent but design is a matter of taste. The build quality is high and the glass plate gives the scale a sophisticated look. The rubber pads on the load cells (= feet of Libra) give it a good level, even on tiled floor. With wet feet should be allowed due to the smooth glass plate a little caution when entering the same exercise, otherwise you can easily slip. As a very pleasant upon entering I find even the low level of scale (almost 2cm).
The design is like a Vorrezensent already noted, improved. With a careless misstep on the edge of this scale tilts very slightly upwards and the subsequent relieving it pops then hard on the floor. The weighing sensors are not too often endure! Thus the Sohnle Slim design is actually not suitable for the daily environment of the user (eg bathroom) standing around open, because a careless step quickly leads to the end of life of the appliance. I have solved the problem that I put the scale when not in use simply a box in the bathroom where no one can step on unintentionally.
The weighing accuracy and repeatability is very high, provided the Soehnle stands on a totally flat, smooth floor. They can be set up zBauf a parquet or laminated floor where you want, the measurement result is accurate to the decimal place (100g)! But woe to the bottom shows a slight bump ... then are the mass values with me up to 1,8kg apart, at 88kg body weight. When unevenness is already sufficient slightly unflat structure of a floor tile or if the balance is to stand on two adjacent tiles (each 2 feet scale on a tile). This problem is likely to be due to design in my opinion, because even my 15-year-old Beurer PS20 Scala showed similar variations in uneven ground. However, had to be tapped to turn it always first. That's significantly more comfortable when Soehnle. Top climbing - read weight - done.
Nevertheless, 4 star and the urgent advice to Soehnle, just further out to attach the load cells at the scales. Then the tipping problem is resolved quickly.
Update 2012-05-26: I had yesterday replace the battery of the balance, after only 6 months operation with 1 x daily weigh! This is very early in my opinion and I hope it's just a "one-time outlier".
Update 2013-08-06: water stains left on the glass surface over time ugly lime edges. The you get though with relevant Entkalkermitteln as "Durgol" back away, but it is annoying in the long run something. The new battery will weigh daily since exchange in May 2012, at 1x.
Update 2014-07-08: Still doing the renewed in May 2012 battery their service. The first battery replacement after only 6 months in fact seems to have been just a "one-time outlier".
