After dissatisfaction with the Samsung BD-E5300 Blu-ray player, we moved to Panasonic and are very satisfied. The player has indeed when reading a BD (not with DVD) a very fine whistle, but that disappears completely when playing. Total Supersilent Player; Rattles's not at all. Readout time is relatively fast, even with latest BDs. However, we have updated via LAN, which was super fast. Resolution Technically, the two not much, ie the presentation is excellent on a 48-inch model, both BD and DVD in (very good upscaling). Connected is the player to the receiver via HDMI cable. Technically sound clean movies, CDs run its own player, so to no valuation. The display is restrained in neon green, barely visible on 2.5m distance and therefore not disruptive during the movie. + Remote control very clear and generously labeled, much better than in Samsung + Player can be open / close by remote control + Response time significantly better than the Samsung, ie. After pause immediate access for further reproduction
