The design is for a radio this price range perfectly OK. All buttons and rotary switches make a solid impression. The rotary knob for the volume is indeed made of plastic, but it does not wobble or is out of round. The buttons are not too close together, so that you accidently pressing two buttons at once. The display itself is sufficient in size. To display the radio station or song title via USB it is enough. After a few days you ha also accustomed to where each button is located and how to operate the radio goes blind by hand.
The initial installation ran without problems. The connection between my iPhone 3GS and the car radio has been prepared without problems via Bluetooth and has kids. Access to the phone book of the mobile phone worked right away. Here is an overview is not exactly overwhelming, due to the small screen. For me personally it is enough but fine. The voice quality is good. The microphone can be adjusted by the intensity in 3 steps. I personal have attached the microphone on the steering column cover before my speedometer and asked the intensity to the highest level (3). In a test call at Tempo 70 (have spoken to me at home even on the answering machine) came the voice over clear and understandable. It could be understood everything without problems. Road noise was barely audible. If you want to dial phone numbers manually you have to bring some patience. There is always a number to select the volume knob and then push another button on. During the journey a little tricky.
The playback of music files from the iPhone also works smoothly. the car sound system plays the songs based on title number from, so always only all the songs with the title number 01, then 02, etc. Whether this is in all cell phones so I can not say.
Playback of MP3 via USB works beautifully. Here the songs are played over and over in sequence per folder (ie first folder 1, songs 1-18, then Folder 2 songs 1-18, etc.). The change between the individual folders works without problems.
Sonically, there is also nothing to complain. The performance is sufficient to supply the series loudspeaker of a car.
All necessary parts are for installation.
Problems saving radio stations and USB settings that go suddenly lost after removing the ignition key, etc., can be avoided from the outset if you take the time and the manual (which you really quickly has) looks. Here it is necessary especially in VW / Audi and Opel vehicles, the cable for permanent and ignition plus the ISO adapter to exchange (which is not uncommon, however, had the more expensive with my 200 euros pioneers radio that previously there was also, make). For this one must not be an electrician, the cable can be drawn due to the terminals with no problems apart and then put back together. All settings are taken so far been preserved. Also reconnection between phone and radio functions without problems.
My Conclusion: For this price a good device. Those looking for a good car radio with speakerphone and can do without a CD drive, is the place to go.
