The positives:
- Ultra-fast turn-on and tripping time
- Focal length of the lens defies description - HUGE !!!
- Very simple and understandable even for beginners and photo self-explanatory description and function
- Strong lightning - who does not need a flash that illuminates a distance of 1 km, which is the built-in flash fully sufficient!
- An infinite number of settings - even a store a custom white balance is possible
- Adjustment of aperture, shutter speed and manual adjustment of both components possible
Negative sites:
- Look through the "finder" becomes quite funny - if you had used an SLR ...
- Nothing for large hands - even I stay with my mini paws during the unfolding of the display often on button for manual
Exposure setting depend ...
- Lens cap is way too "friemelig" - for hands size "L" or more hardly removable and placeable
- Fixing ability of the lens cap only on the supplied wrist strap (or in your pocket)
The biggest drawback - the "sports program" Cam is not much good for taking pictures of animals in the wild or for sports events, where the animals or athletes are in motion (ie not like the club "Rot-Weiss Erfurt" - there is also 'ne long-term recording. .. ;-)) - unless you have the finger at the right time "trigger" ... 0.7 frames per second in continuous shooting are far too slow. Not even a fast memory card (I use an SDHC with 6 speed - that is, the fastest model on the market) nothing ... The "Sport program" has so little to do with "Sport". That can be a SLR with 3.8 Pics in the second much better.
Conclusion - Who is not so fast on birds or fast-paced sports, for which the Canon SX 20 IS is a really great camera!
