pros and cons :
++:
- For the price an almost insolent sharpness and brightness and a low light-reflection behavior.
- Wonderfully supple and friendly hand shaped, while still pretty small enclosure, perfect for small to normal sized men's hands.
- Good, great middle wheel for precise adjustment
- Large depth of field, great for bird watching (from about 20m - infinitely little adjustment necessary)
- Precisely because infinitely adjustable Brillenokulare (see also below under negative point)
- Low weight + small dimensions = very handy and always be carried along, also a neckstrap not oppressive.
- Lenses can by no UV light.
- Good edge definition
- Stars are beautiful punctiform
- Little distortion / compressions of buildings etc.
- Good colorfast, low chromatic distortion at the edges.
-:
- Includes neck strap quite cheap because no silicone (Replace recommended)
- Supplied bag cheap because not completely closed, but Glass's neckstrap is part of the bag
- Brillenokulare sometimes pretend individually a little, because infinitely adjustable (but is not tragic)
- Not water dustproof (not to be expected at this price)
- Field of vision (so, usually that's fine but for sharpness reversed at Consumer glasses) quite small for 8x42er)
Conclusion:
Clear opinion (even of binoculars experts Volkssternwarte Hannover which also birdwatching are of course a lot in the field of astronomy but on the way):
For 100 worth as much as otherwise a minimum 250 Porroglas or 400-500 Roof Glass.
All wonder how Olympus the riff so great!
Strong buy recommendation for nature observers with a tight budget.

Addendum 10.12.2013:
Having now also the Nikon Action EX 7x35've added myself, I have a little perspective:
- The small field of view of Olympus is disturbing when compared as a solo viewed
- The Nikon is slightly brighter and sharper, despite wide field and lower opening
- The Nikon is waterproof and stick material filled, ie. suitable for outdoor use.
- The Olympus middle wheel is more accessible
- The reflex behavior of Olympus is a little better (especially with Nikon Okularstreulicht sensitive)
Overall, I would now prefer the Nikon if you are willing to pay 35% more.
The Olympus is up there with the best glass below 100! Therefore, continue to 5 stars!
