Before publication, I was totally hooked on the batch HR and wanted him have, because I think the function of 24/7 heart rate measurement (HFM) totally exciting. Shortly after the release, there was a lot of feedback over a very imprecise HFM, whereby the use of batch HR was virtually obsolete. I was confused. Still, I bought the batch HR, due to individual positive, relativising posts, and did not regret it to this day (after about 3 1/2 weeks).
The batch HR measures the steps very closely, the sleep tracking I recommend to mode "Sensitive" set to, the dominate hand can enter, wakes me the prominent vibration alarm immediately and repeats until the key is pressed on the unit, the find Dashboard design I very watchable and modern fresh (here there are many features and individual chart types that can provide already much information about the past few months in its detail), a diet track is (typing recommend menus for time savings in everyday life) as possible ...
For heart rate monitoring: Of course, the values do not always agree, because the device operates optically and this method is generally fraught with the most errors. However, the HR measures the quiescent frequency very precisely and also of random comparison with a medical pulse oximeter showed the same value. In training the HR often depends a chest strap behind and recorded fast frequency hopping not detail / correctly and thus is often below the real value. On pulse plateaus of HR levels off after a short time and is consistent with the real value match. Even while running I have already made positive and negative experiences: should the HR actually lace too tightly, just so that it does not slip away, otherwise the capillary blood vessels are clamped and the measured value is far below the right one!
The little finger should always fit between the strap and wrist; the skin should not be pressed.
The two photos show the measured values of the batch HR and a chest strap via Runtastic the same training / run for comparison. I find the results perfectly acceptable and it is thus the caloric consumption even more realistically determined, as only pure step count - which is my knowledge, the crux of the matter.
I like the batch HR, hence 4 stars - with me the lack of water resistance most disturbs the training process!
