Over The Summit is a very airy ambient album whose purpose, as all outputs on the label Glacial Movements (directed by Alessandro Tedeschi aka Netherworld itself) to carry you in cold regions, devoid of any trace of civilization yet welcoming and rejuvenating.
You will be propelled through the pure atmosphere of an arctic night, floating between heaven crossed northern lights and discreetly undulating ground and covered with fine snow. Freedom, forgetting oneself, communion with the music, and finally absolute calm are words that perfectly reflect this album.
An almost contemplative music: some field recordings, synths that seem filtered through a blizzard, distant, rare percussion rhythm and some never broken echoes of distant voices ...
A very interesting experience, whether you are in search of calm and concentration, through these six tracks totaling 57 minutes.
Slight preference for Aurora Performs Its Last Show, the second track, which is rich in emotion, slightly melancholic.
Of ambient lovers I recommend this album and this label without hesitation.
