After I had bought the "Trekstor SurfTab Wintron 10.1", I wanted to be able to more easily write extensive texts equip it with a keyboard.
After an attempt at a universal keyboard which do not very satisfied with that, I have become aware of the "TrekStor Keyboard W10a" and have this day locked in the "Version" W10a_2.
Since I know the "old" version and not only from pictures, I can not draw any major conclusions.
However, the key layout of the "new" I like better than the "old" version.
The W10a_2 has a good keystroke and also the touchpad responds as intended. Here I have no complaints.
That the connected tablet is (in the closed state) aroused by this keyboard from the power saving mode, I can confirm. This is my opinion because the screen gets in touch with the key and is thus activated. However, as I always drive my SurfTab completely shut, this bothers me not. A firmware or BIOS update I have not performed.
Also what scratches or damage to the display's concerns, I'm due to the keyboard not worry. On the one hand, the pressure point of the keys is relatively soft, the other I have a screen protector fitted.
The point of view, which can not or only be provided in a position through the keyboard, resulting in a devaluation star in my review.
The TrekStor Keyboard (W10a_2) I am from the first impression quite satisfied and would buy again.
If unexpected "negative aspect" occur, I will extend my review accordingly.
I'll upload two images showing the "new" keyboard layout.
Supplement 06.04.2015
Meanwhile, I have found one way of viewing angles by simple means can be changed.
In the corners of the narrow stand-up tabs in each case I have punched a small hole that can be "hung together" using a cable tie, wire bonding or the like. This concerning installation and viewing angle is changed and can also be also adjusted "individually".
After closing the keyboard's case the two punched holes are no longer visible, as these through the "flap" (which is in the open state before the keyboard) are covered.
To illustrate I have uploaded two more pictures.
