WIHA- PicoFinish TORX® screwdriver set 6 pcs. + Support (tool)

Customer Review

This review is from 'WIHA- PicoFinish TORX® screwdriver set 6 pcs. + Holder' Amazon bought directly for 25.60.

I was looking for a high end Schraubrendrehern for Torx because I aufschraube smartphones, laptops, game consoles and other small electronic devices every now and then.
Originally I had planned only to buy the respective required screwdriver at the hardware store. Because on the one hand to now we have two DIY stores are choking on their own 20% -on-all mentality, there was no way to connect with otherwise good tool to come. Actually, I buy something that is rather still in the store.
Secondly, I have now but decided to pay more attention to uniformity.

The screwdrivers:
The set includes the sizes given T4-T9 are included. The quality of workmanship and material is top for the price. So I did not expect it. The blades are robust and do not wear out like cheap tool immediately, or break. The blade tips are very precisely what preserves screws as blades and offers close.
The Dreher are indeed quite comfortable to hold, however, the handles could be a bit more ergonomic. Nevertheless, the haptics conveys value. The plastic handles also does not smell of any chemicals.
Resolved fairly is the caption of the size of the screwdriver. This information is printed on the red cap on the handle. Reasonably solved because this label is not visible when the Dreher stuck in the supplied rack if it is not attached to a wall. What leads me to this very part of the evaluation.

The rack for six screwdriver is a nice little bonus, which, however, turns out to be rather impractical in my case. But first the positives.
The rack can be put on the desktop, but also tighten to a vertical surface. At the front a small bowl is integrated, etc. in the screws can be stored in order not to lose them.
The Dreher are very easy to place in the rack. Actually setting loose enough already that the screwdriver stuck in the brackets. Even if you are not 100% just plugging, they do not fall out again. To the contrary, they seem to be even a little to fix.
If the rack dowelled on a wall, the screw can also be stuck with the blade down into the holders one by the way, which then puts the problem of readability of the label size. By the way around to keep the screwdriver so wonderful and of course can be taken properly.
The rack is made of cheap plastic and thus acts to even higher quality. It stinks and does not smell like chemicals.
If you have no work space, like me, where you can screw the rack on the wall, there is a risk that the screwdriver tilt itself when removing the rack and one pulls the rack and its contents on the table and possibly its contents over the workpiece scattered. Not necessarily enjoyable, even small parts of the working area may yet fall to the ground and disappear somewhere, never to return underneath. The screws, which are of course happy places for greater clarity in the shell of the rack, of course, be a victim of this situation just described. The Rack is therefore only partially useful.

Conclusion:
The quality of the screwdriver is quite good and not even too expensive when I compare it with two in my possession screwdrivers Max Bahr brand (3.50 / piece). However, the Wiha Picos still have potential for improvement. So there is about 4.20 / piece but then a magnetized tip expect when self-Max Bahr that gets out. Ergonomic handles would also be advantageous (see Vera or also gladly again Max Bahr).
The rack is a nice, but at least in my situation, superfluous addition. It has therefore only small proportion of the actual Star award. For the four stars the lack magnetized blade, and not quite optimal ergonomics is responsible.
Who does not interfere with the ergonomics and the non-magnetized blade and who like to have a uniform tool, but can here safely access and supporting a sitting and company producing in Germany.
