Is supplied in a compact but safe packaging: 2 LightStrip (2 m), a Bridge with power cable, a manual and fortunately also a 2-meter Ethernet cable (is not always a matter of course). Installation is simple, but the light-strip was not automatically recognized at me and I had to enter the ID reprinted (was done quickly). Quick can using the app (for iOS and Android) program and remotely control everything from anywhere. The LightStrip has a very wide color gamut and but can also be operated in pleasant shades of white. The programming of scenarios is simple and varied. The sytem is expandable up to 50 components, including the work fast and easy. The individual components communicate with each other even, so that larger distances through these "intermediaries" are bridged. There are already several products in this line that probably still is to be extended.
The LightStrip can be fixed reliably with existing adhesive strip on the back. I recommend at the point where the cable still leads in the LightStrip additional attachments, so that the LightStrip not solve (I have a strip on the back of the backrest of a faux leather sofas back by the weight of the cable. The adhesive holds, but the connection it dissolves some).
I am very impressed especially that "Philips Ambilight + hue App" by means of a coupling can be done with my Philips Ambilight TV. After several updates during the first days of this now works very synchronized and the whole room can shine in the desired brightness with the TV picture matching colors. A couple of times we were unable to set up the connection to the TV, which seem to have been but my initial problems.
I use in my household RWE SmartHome and am delighted that RWE and Philips have entered into a co-operation with regard to this product line. The application and pairing possibilities are thereby once again significantly expanded. For example, the lamps can be switched on the automatic shutdown of the blinds or fire alarm.
Conclusion: A complete starter kit for great mood lighting, sophisticated yet easy to use. Overall, Philips is expected with the many combinations and design options have the edge. Only the price seems a bit excessive.
