It is a multi-component protein from Whey Isolate, Whey Concentrate, Whey hydrolyzate, micellar casein and egg albumin. So relatively typical extent, but certainly more positive, since many "cheap" Components of chemical dispense mostly to one or more of several components thereof. Plus leucine, valine and isoleucine were (the BCAAs) added on top of that glutamine. Unfortunately, there is no information about it, in what quantities. Last is also a mixture of digestive enzymes (such as lactase) added. That should especially be interesting for people with lactose intolerance.
Since the nutrition facts on the American products are given only per serving (25g protein to scoop, corr. About 34-35g powder), but not per 100g, this complicates a comparison with the conventional products in this country a little. I have therefore the nutritional value once converted to 100g, with reference to the flavor Orange creamsicles:
Nutritional information per 100 g converted:
Kcal: 382
Protein: 73,5g
Carbohydrates: 14,7g
Fat: 4.4g
I should have done this better even before my own impulse purchase. Because it is immediately apparent that relatively many carbohydrates are included and the protein content is weakening. That you have but often times when "typical Ami proteins" (see, eg, Syntrax Matrix 5.0). Of course it is still a protein powder, but if you're honest, so many available or produced in D competitors from significantly lower price ranges have loose> 80g protein and
Taste, consistency and solubility:
I rate this Chocolate and Orange in a review, because I consider this the most sense, and both have tried (the flavor also is not in my overall standings, see below). First to chocolate: solubility is good, taste is very sweet, not the typical here in Europe "cocoa flavor" but something else, perhaps "milky" - well, is indeed "Milk Chocolate". Overall, however, actually quite good. Consistency is very thin and smooth, not creamy. I personally like best in protein powders.
At Orange: Solubility slightly less well, the first time I had some really big lumps. But if one shakes long enough klappts. There is something indefinable to me. Orange would not stand on the package, I do not know if I would have guessed it. Again very sweet, you can taste the natural flavor of the protein mixture but easily. Consistency is here rather creamy and fluffy. May I personally liked less.
Price-performance:
The kilo price seems quite high at around 37 euros for the small and almost 30 euros in the big box. Sure, you could argue that it must be so imported from the States. The consumer is likely to be quite the but no matter. Compared with protein powders in this country that would in any case have the upper price league. While we nutrition technically unfortunately rather are on drug product level. Price and performance do not fit in my opinion here together quite.
Conclusion:
Still not easy to find a suitable conclusion: I think especially for reasons of taste, the product is able to find one or the other fan. Because the US-typical sweet to very sweet taste indeed is not my case, but I know of course that he also here with us has friends. I let the taste therefore left out in my review. I've written enough to order to get a very first image itself can.
Two minuses there for the poor price / performance ratio and the somewhat meager nutritional composition. Three points left, because the ingredients are nonetheless quite high and thought out - you should just make sure not to let so much carbohydrate / sugar left, but that's probably a bit from country to country. When the flavor everyone must know for themselves. If you prefer is to not so sweet proteins, should in any case stay away from the here.
I myself would in any case buy me a second time, even though I am generally not entirely disappointed. Let's see what is tried next time;)
