I have used the lens for 220 Euro bought because I've read about the excellent imaging performance.
It works perfectly on the D7100 and actually makes my Nikon 105s macro in the shadows. Incredibly this detail.
The focus ring is considerably tighter than the new lenses today. But that's what makes it stand out even. You can adjust the sharpness to the point without for a smooth ring to a skewed position.
