Fields of application:
In particular, the product comes in group images used, on which I also would like to appear and nich constantly running back to the camera wants to restart the self-timer, thereby deteriorating the adjustment in the worst case. Here I put the D90 on the remote trigger mode with delay (symbol Fernauslöser and timer). The timer I set to 2 seconds, so I have time to take the ML-L3 from the image so as not to show the only one on the camera. Funny for home: connect the camera via HDMI or jack / RCA cable to your TV, go to Live View mode, to see the television and shooting portraits or group photos on the TV sofa :-)
For bulb exposures, a remote release is comfortable, so you do not wobble at the camera. However, the self-timer, this problem is also solved, but perhaps, if not turned off with annoying beeps and lights. In addition, tripping via ML-L3 is spontaneous possible. The bulb mode, which works perfectly in conjunction with the D90 with me, in my opinion, is perfect only with a remote trigger, since the contact and thereby wobble-free exposure can be started and stopped.
A little tip for long exposures: Enable mirror lockup, the mirror goes sooner out of the way and the resulting vibrations can be damped by the beginning of the recording.
Criticism of criticism:
Criticism of the use of button cells in my opinion * untitled * because
+ Probably holds a battery for a long time: after estimated 1000 images that I have raised with the ML-L3, the battery tends not coming to an end.
+ Battery type is necessary for the extremely compact and handy design of the remote switch. (I'm the ML-L3 usually in the small inside pocket of my pants pocket.)
Price, alternatives and Conclusion:
If the price (I have nothing but positive about the ML-L3, this product has clearly earned five stars!
Wish you much fun with it
