Positives:
The DWA-131 is pleasantly small, at the same time he remains absolutely priced under. Comparable models suggest at times also with double the price to book.
Negatives:
Like many other reviewers also I find the packaging completely unduly large. Such a tiny stick can be for environmental reasons also like packed small. But ok, but there is still no star deduction.
A real problem, however, is the scope, another quite often described problem. The stick was recognized without problems from the WD Live TV, but a connection to the home network, I managed only sporadically, about 1 out of 10 times. The router is not a straight line 5m and 2 not to thick walls removed. Any other device (Samsung Smartphone, iPhone 4, Asus notebook, HP notebook) has at the same place does not have the slightest problem and more than adequate reception. So an operating mine was of course impossible. A firmware update brought absolutely nothing. After a day of testing I had to give up in exasperation.
Therefore, I can not recommend the stick. In the same room as the router that may work very well, but only a few meters by the one or the other wall is closing. I am aware that there are dealing with a very small stick, so logich that the reception must be limited. But that is simply not enough. At least the few feet should be able to also create such a nano stick. Too Bad.
