Taken out of the pack, the unit was also ready for immediate use. It smelled slightly plastic, but that was after the first heating. The workmanship is good and the design succeeded. The handling is very simple. The 2.50 m long cable is sufficient for my use. The Grundig HS 5130 Ionic Hair styler reached my desired operating temperature very quickly.
