I want to use the adapter for an ESI MaXiO PCI host card in a P6T6WS ASUS board.
Unfortunately, this does not work out.
The card is recognized, the driver ran but install once you have played what was there massive disturbances also.
whatever buffer size was set in audio interface.
I am assuming that the bridge chip used encounters a PLX PEX8112 an its limits.
A TI-based Bridge chip works here much better, unfortunately the TI Bridge chip as it is not used, for example on the MaXiO PCIe stable hangs after prolonged operation.
Admittedly the Asus P6T6WS has a NF200 PCIe as the HUB is not necessarily known for stability.
Pity would have to fold.
The mechanical design was also very exciting but not impossible, as the MaXiO Map "divisible" is yes and can be extended with a ribbon cable.
So unfortunately, no final solution,
If someone knows another PCIe to PCI Adapter (ie with another bridge chip) I would be really grateful.
