Unfortunately not what I had imagined.

I ordered the unit to replace a Fiio X3 because it is still sorely limited in its functions and has an old-fashioned interface. In addition, I wanted to have the opportunity next to my high definition files, also from time to time to use Spotify.

To Interface: Who knows Android, will find immediately familiar. Head and shoulders above that of Fiio.

To use to my wish Spotify: It's just the direct streaming. Unfortunately, downloading the files to also be used without any network access is not. This requires an external memory card. Where would we be in the next issue: 32GB without leave to amend are simply no longer appropriate. You ought to know but the Fiio I can feed them with external cards.

Now the sound. To preview I used a Philips Fidelio X1 and a Sennheiser 500 mm x. The sound was similar for both listeners just incredibly bright and it simply lacked the warm sound of Fiio. In addition, the output power is simply not strong enough to generate the appropriate volume for mobile use. Since my Samsung S3 sleep much better (though it may also play no Hires files).

Have the unit therefore returned and hear (despite the restrictions) again with my Fiio (which sounds really charming).

Thus, the Walkman is not much better than a recent smartphone that does not cost much more and also can still make calls. Who the sound quality is important, should better pick up the Fiio X3, which tends to be cheaper.
