Apple gave me by telephone hotline then to three possibilities. Wait Exchange at the local store, Express exchange for 29 EUR or free sending and a week. We then drove to the 120km distant Hamburg to Applestore am Jungfernstieg. The hotline has arrived home again contacted. The lady said that was not the first complaint about Apple stores and she was sorry, I would definitely get swapped the iPhone.
Since I have no credit card, the Express Exchange was not an option for me. So I took the free exchange.
Tuesday was the UPS man at the door. Wednesday it was in NL at Apple. And on Thursday I got my original unit back to the info "error could not be reproduced." Am I in the wrong movie, or what ?!
This was followed by renewed call to Apple. I was directed to a lady who asked me to send her photos from the phone, then they would call me back after examine the photos.
So photos sent there. Waiting for recall. When she called then, there was unfortunately not good news. The store staff was right and I had to accept that so. You could offer me only the Express exchange, then I got definitely a new device.
Excuse me, but that I do not see. I should pay money, so I can get a replacement device and otherwise I have to accept it as it is? What's that for service?

The iPhone has been sold. Unfortunately, with enormous loss of value by the silver border.
I now have a HTC One X + and am very happy with it. So far, I miss the iPhone a bit.
Apple and the iPhone were previously (at least for me!) Times for innovation, quality and service. With any of my previous iPhones I had problems. Never! Not even a broken home button, despite intensive use and one or the other fall. When I even had issues with the Apple account, I was also helped quickly and easily.
And now I have even a real problem with the hardware and have such a crap on the neck. I feel Apple increases the success slowly head. Too bad.
Good that the competition never sleeps.
Meanwhile, I have my HTC a few weeks, and I miss Apple not a bit!
