Purchase reasons were the connections (also suitable for tube TVs ... so, what's even ;-)) as well as the ASTRA-certification (see [...]). Besides Inverto Volksbox and new Panasonic - TVs otherwise no other client was certified, so I had to assume that these three alternatives must be the best that you can buy. The negative reviews I had read, but decided for this device. After all, there are reviews, which are precisely the combination of TSS-400 and IP-100 really great.

Not even close. Unfortunately, I can after about a week of involuntary experimentation call a single positive point on this device.

But the following sentence from the manual speaks volumes and should result in the company Triax is blamed.

Together with the non-existent website [...], the only mail to my support request that I should ensure that the latest software is installed on the devices, this means that the company Triax makes mistakes in programming, but it she does not care. Correction: A software crash is always a malfunction! These malfunctions are usually caused by errors in programming, in rare cases, by the operation outside the specifications (eg: heat, cold, or the like).

I had even taken the trouble to send a list of errors found in Triax. Since then I got no answer, I document the error here:

1. On delivery the device is unusable. Server found, tuning goes through, but the reception of any station is not working. Only when updating to version 0.5.12 television stations could be received. Many ordinary consumers were already overburdened at this point.

2. When you start it, there are often problems in finding the server client. Only after repeated cycling power, he finds the server after all.

3. Fast "zapping" also leads to a loss of the server connection.

4. In the Channel Manager: Moving channels work often simply do not. These are the mistakes that I've found without detailed test "on the fly". And now the above quote from the handbook lead to heart.

I do not want to the SAT-IP here - technology argue. On the contrary ... I find SAT-IP conceptually very good and "cool". As technology enthusiastic I really enjoy it, to receive on a "mobile" satellite television. But the devices offered seem to be still in the alpha stage. And when I think that that has IP 100 even cut the time of purchase of the best reviews, I will not know how bad it can not be used with other devices. Clearly, there will never be a perfect software, but this device are full of errors. Perhaps the time is not yet ripe for it. I hope that there will soon be really workable solutions.
