Unfortunately, public danger

With full anticipation of a pot of tea I want to test the pot directly. This has, however, quickly proved to be mistake I would regret. Because when I poured the boiling water into it, began to break the glass and all of the water (which is thankfully not as much was), shot straight to my unclothed legs and feet.
In a pot, which is designed for making tea with boiling water, should not be such a thing happen. Especially not at first use.
Conclusion: Unfortunately, public danger, children should this pot already not get into their own hands
