After a long search a smaller second camera to my DLSR, I finally found a camera that has everything I want. After I broke up with APS-C and MFT again, I am completely satisfied with the X30. The constant change of objective was me on holiday to awkward and inconvenient and a very good travel zoom too expensive. The Lens Hood instead of cover is not really my thing, but that should change soon with a screwed-on Lens Hood to encounter the unfortunately somewhat strong lens flare of X30. Nevertheless, for me a very good compact machine with a very good image quality, a great viewfinder and fast it is also. As I read now, was in some X30 as also noted by my, at about 55mm a slight snapping (resistance). According to Fujifilm, this is a deficiency that should not occur. Also in the DSLR forum, some owners have complained about. Therefore, I have to say, unfortunately, that there's more of this type X30. Addendum: A still-time exchange brought promptly the same result, so now 1 star deduction. Nevertheless, I keep it small at first, maybe I can live with it. A warranty claim remains my all yet. A shame for the otherwise great camera. Addendum 2: A now screwed Lens Hood did not bring the expected success in every respect. My opinion: The camera loses only its compactness. This edition can save you need to so. Addendum 3: Was now 3 days in the most beautiful weather with the X30 in Rome and I must say, the viewfinder on the X30 is the best I know from compact cameras. My pictures are me all succeeded 100%, because you can control everything in the viewfinder. Even the minimal resistance when zooming bothered me in any way, only half a star would rather deducted but I had to mention it already.
