Unfortunately technical problems otherwise quite good

I had the Nexus 10 now for 4 weeks everyday use. Now it's (unfortunately) back to Amazon.
I have purchased the product at Amazon. The seller called entroniks (based in Florida). It is currently the only supplier but, the 10 sold the Google Nexus via Amazon. As can be seen already from other reviews will be dispatched with charger / cable and without (German) instructions. But instructions in booklet form I almost never profitable anyway. So just download effortlessly as pdf.
The unit made after the first launch an update to 4.3.2 and shortly afterwards to Kitkat 4.3.3. The software support is thus given. What really bothers is the lack of support from Kitkat for Flash content. It's true, but is very complicated and needs to manually (via the instructions of numerous forums) should be established. But this is more likely to be a drawback of Android and not the Nexus 10th
At Nexus I had first used to it, that you can not get started immediately after switching. The surface is indeed loaded fairly quickly but after lagging the whole thing at least still 2 -. 3 minutes. I think that the operating system is reloading for a while in the background. The establishment of the unit is done playing and especially the tablet is not in advance "contaminated" by unnecessary advertising Apps from Samsung. The forced Google Apps are everywhere as it already.
I can confirm that the device is in operation depending on the application already like to very warm.
Loading and operating times are perfectly fine. Once gave me strangely the Google App "Play Music" sucked dry the battery in 1 hour. This could comprehend in the consumption indicator. However, the app could be uninstall. Then again was good.
The display is the actual bearer of these tablets. Have you there, you never want something else again. Simply superb. And, although it may not reflect the latest model is. If you look at photos here you get watery eyes.
The launcher is not quite the hit, but I did initially leave him and occupied myself with the basic functions.
These are standard and overall satisfactory. Anyone buying this tablet to know the fact of the missing mobile network connection. On the way I start with my mobile phone a private hot spot and thus bridging the missing mobile network. This works simply and well. Aborts the wireless connection there with me no. Could also be that with Kitkat aborts the WLAN connection, as they are known by Jelly Bean, has been eradicated.

So overall expected rauslesen you that I was very pleased with the Tablet. True, a malfunction had it not occurred after 1 week. I had turned off the tablet screen and wanted to take it back after 1 hour in operation. The tablet was dead. Nothing was more. Also, the long press of the button was not working. After many trials it began again then, but the touch panel stopped responding. I could not unlock the device. After another countless attempts it responded again ?! Then the tablet was another week, until the display again had no desire to make my fingers on the display sequence. In between the virtual keyboard was affected. Every 7th letter was ignored. This drives a crazy. Ultimately, I have performed a factory reset. That was not easy because I had to do it via a laptop. On this day, the display had in fact no Bock. After the factory reset, which ultimately cost me 5 hours, the touch screen is finally totally insensitive to touch and has adjusted its service. I could not even choose the language for the first device.
Amazon takes the tablet back and now I get the money back. Exchange is not possible at the said traders.
Now I think about what I'll do. Because actually was / is a really great tablet for little money .......

Edit: After a few days think I bought the same tablet again. Especially since I really was pleased indeed and have here are a high quality screen protector and a leather cover. But I no longer buy on Amazon. That with the Hänlder from Florida to me is not so entirely at ease in the face of defects. Let's see how it goes this time ....

I can now definitely confirm that it has acted in my problems to a hardware defect. With the current tablet there were no dropouts in daily use of the touch display. Unwrapped, loaded, started. Updates were running smoothly by up to Android 4.4.4. Last updated so. Then attached a Vikuiti screen protector for anti-reflective and is good. Since then, may the sun shine and you can still read everything - though the super great resolution of the display something suffers. Still an absolutely fabulous display! In daily use, the tablet has since 2 - 3 times adopted by rebooting. But that was only once when navigating on the highway annoying. But is definitely the exception. The battery actually holds by long, even during permanent operation of the display with high brightness. But I recommend to end the unnecessary apps in the background to save energy. Also, everyone should consider the purchase of a pogo cable. Easy on the micro USB port and loads significantly faster.
The images with the integrated camera succeed at day quite well, even if the focal length is likely to be a bit bigger and there is no zoom (or I have not found it ...).
Oh, warm it is sometimes peculiar still outdoors in the sun. Today at the lake it was even hot, very hot. Neither the display nor the battery was interested in the (as opposed to my hands). Only the CPU seemed to come a little sweat. To gamble in the blazing sun Rayman was then probably too much. The Tablet thanked so, occasionally going to the "slow-motion operation". Actually, the game is always running liquid, today was an end of it. But because it was an extreme only way really.
I do not regret to have bought the tablet again. I'm really happy with it and above all I schmunzle on the display of other equipment :-)
Round for the money (of mid-2014) absolutely recommendable device.
