Meanwhile, I have the TARGA DRH-5700x DVD / HDD recorder more than 2 years, and at first I was quite happy with the device. However, quite quickly bothered me the volume balance DVD HDD. While the DVD drive all DVDs will play relatively quietly, the HDD / tuner volume is much louder. An example: I look at any DVD and press to interrupt the STOP button. Thus, the device switches to TUNER mode and you jerks formally at the volume level-difference together! (I must say that the tuner also set to "AV", but that's probably 'ne stopgap.)
I tried it first with the volume control (VOL +/-) on the remote control, which unfortunately DVD and HDD not separately may regulate voneinender. In addition, the last volume setting can not be saved - the next start is again all at "full speed". :(
In SETUP it is possible in the audio menu, although the momentum to "Full", "middle" and set "off", but there is none of the 3 settings of the slightest difference audible. (. The dynamic compression is actually generally very disturbing, because the volume ALWAYS be pulled to maximum level and thus all sounds very clinical - that can be, unfortunately, with "off" Do not stop!)
I discovered on the manufacturer side a firmware update, which I installed ... the result: Since the days of the week do not fit in the calendar, what times really "fun" does when setting a timer. According to TARGA support can no longer back the iron - na tip.
Right, "funny" it Wurd but only a few days ago, when I wanted to connect the unit to my new LED TV via HDMI.
I have activated via the Scart connector on the menu the HDMI output, and then any additional options "Interlaced", "720p", "1080i" and so tried sequentially, but the image remained in HDMI mode black. (Also I have while adjusting disturbing green stripes on the picture, so I sometimes can hardly recognize the SETUP menu and launch more new needs, which extremely annoying).
So I changed the HDMI cable and have the from my DVD player (which works perfectly) connected, but the result was the same. (HDMI cable and the TV terminals are definitely in order.)
The HDMI problem actually have more, as I had read in various forums, but there is apparently no solution.
Well, I have turned again to the Targa Service and'm curious whether my favorite answer comes back: "reformat the hard disk and send us your device easily - which is determined defective ..." ;)
