All discussed with Elgato measures were of no avail - despite the fact that the Mac Mini is completely virginal except the EyeTV software, or some other network participants to push the bandwidth. Even with direct connection of the receiver to the exclusion of the router, the system was not reliable. Especially from the stand-by is the start of luck - as a substitute for a satellite receiver is the combination thus simply unsuitable.
At the end of the communication with Elgato was then acknowledged by their side at least, that the mistakes were understandable and were directed to the development department. If and when it could be followed by a solution but was left open to this day - so far nothing has happened and as long as one can only advise against the product as a substitute for a SAT receiver.
Too bad, because otherwise there is every reason for this solution. But in the current state, the device generates a lot more frustration than pleasure.
I reconnected my old conventional receiver which can least reliably switch programs.
Update October 2014: after a new eyeTV software is available that is specifically netstream4sat improve cooperation with the, I have the tests carried out again. Result: the startup behavior of the standy by is now better, ie, the system now generates actually eventually an image. The price is high but: now the program change in perhaps half of all cases take unbearably long - up to more than a minute (!). While the system starts and always comes eventually to an image (which was not previously so) - for the Umschaltprobleme are more often and the times the question. I'm staying in the evaluation: who wants to use it as I do, the unit should not do.
Update March 2015: by chance I found out about a new variant of an existing version (Version 3.6.7 Build 7331, however). She wears the same version number as the previous and therefore will not be automatically offered as an update. The variant 7331 I still downloaded as another reviewer reported that the problems were resolved. This statement I can confirm in its attempt the switchover delays are now in a normal range, which improves the product considerably. Why such a fundamental improvement is not automatically offered by a new serial number remains a mystery. Because of the extremely long reaction time to problems and the 'secret' improvement that you just will notice when you do yourself to look, only 4 points. Functionally the device is now fully recommended.
