With anticipation I have the USB 3.0 HUB from Cateck expected. I was very pleased 3.0 technology from design and USB.
The package arrived on time and did not have any damage. The content was completely available and well packaged.
When unpacking but my anticipation was subdued. The first thing I noticed was a small but deep scratch in the aluminum outer shell of the HUB's. In addition, the processing of aluminum was not as good as expected.
The next steamer I received when I wanted to put the whole thing on my desk to connect the hub to the USB 3.0 port of my Mac's. Apparently, it is so that the inner workings of the stroke does not fit in the aluminum cladding.
This was reflected in the unevenness of the device again. The whole wobbled like a table in which a leg is too short. The unit therefore never lay with the full face on my desk, which the insertion of a USB Sticks difficult. After that my whole desire is passed to the HUB. In addition, I have noticed a significant speed distortion. My USB 3.0 Stick creates on my Mac a speed of more than 200 MB / s (write). About the HUB, I reached a speed of about 25 MB / s (write).
The problem, however, I do not know whether it is normal for Hubs or not, which is why I left it out of my star rating out.
