Positives:
- Looks chic
- For halfway Experienced easy to set up
Negative
- Regular disconnections (all 1-2h hours). Promptly to messages in the system log of the device: "EA-N66: Out of memory", "kernel: Out of memory: Kill Process ..."
- Not quite as regular crashes and complete restart of the device (previously happened 2x)
- The advertised rated speed of 450Mbps is not even close to be reached: the maximum operating 2.4GHz 72Mbps, 150Mbps at 5GHz. Tested with three different clients (laptops of marks HP, Dell and Lenovo / IBM). Measured values at 2.4GHz in the immediate vicinity of the device: 40-60Mbps.
- Faulty web interface (eg, the status is set to "b / g Protection" is not stored)
- Scheduled on / off not as advertised possible because the system time always starts to count from 1.1.1970, the "NTP server" setting will have no effect, the system time is even after days still wrong (maybe depends also to the fact that in the system Log also repeatedly "kernel: Out of memory: Kill Process in 2776 (NTP)" or "kernel: Killed process 3190 (NtpClient)" is).
- "Dual Band" is somewhat misleading and the indication in the specifications is not correct "simultaneously": the router are not familiar with 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but simultaneously. So you have to choose one of the modes and if you still have old equipment that 802.11n can only 2.4GHz band 5GHz can not be used.
Schade, tomorrow he goes back to Amazon. At amazon.com you read the way a lot more and worse reviews for this product. I would have probably previously and not to view only when troubleshooting.
