Unstable, unpredictable, frustrating

As a longtime user Magix (MVD since 2008, I use the program regularly), I have so few - including quite large - performs design, would no longer describe myself as a beginner. 2013 was my last hope to cull Bugs and certainly my last attempt to use MDV as the basis of a project.

2013 in the premium version still runs absolutely unstable and unpredictable. When editing some (always unpredictable !!) effects the program crashes, reboots and has forgotten many sources - despite very regular and frequent auto- and manual caching. The locations of the video clips need to be redefined manually, even if they were not touched. It's as if you delete a linked file in Windows Explorer and uses the shortcut to nirvana. Only the files just been lying there at Magix and manually must be clicked again. With dozens of clips (and after every crash !!) a real annoying work. All the usual tricks (save as different file names, reading all editing files in a brand new project, defragmenting the respective plates etc ...) do not bear fruit.

The export of projects is still catastrophic. Sometimes it works, sometimes not - of course under completely identical conditions. Some effects are destroyed during export, even if they are displayed correctly in the preview Magix. After mixdown then looks partly not only the video different from the timeline (suddenly other effects or no effects), sometimes the project file itself is changed, as if by magic. So you never know what's changed, and is actually permanently on hope and pray that nothing changes unnoticed "behind the scenes".

Sometimes certain things can be awkward again correct (delete the effect, save, close, restart, refresh their video clips, reapply the effect), but sometimes not. In these cases must be dispensed with the desired effect or sometimes to an entire video clip (!!) - and that of course is not at all. Since it is a desperate users at some point be happy if the export always breaks off at the same place, so you can at least determine the point of failure on the Timeline and the corresponding effects or parts of the video simply deletes again. Not exactly the point of it, I think.

Magix is ​​a highly touted software for hobbyists that use actually very intuitive and comfortable could - if you did not come from a bug to the next. If you want more than simple screens and simple title without sophisticated effects, is of MVD driven (even in the current Premium version) into madness and but wants very soon a complex and demanding professional software which, although more expensive than Magix, for stable and reliable running. Just after that, I'll look around now that is. After the Magix support has not even answered me to my questions, now a long-standing customers have less.

Who has cut technically not much before and it but a high frustration tolerance and has no problem with being abused as a beta tester (because more is taken sloppily programmed software strictly not - and it is again too expensive), here is very perhaps happy. All others who cut and do not want to annoy are, with MVD very ill-advised.
