On a larger camcorder, the part may fit quite well, but for use on a DSLR camera, I find it much too bulky and too heavy.
In addition, with my Panasonic Lumix GH3 the plug did not fit properly and showed even at slight movements ugly scratching noises and sometimes even a failure of the left audio channel. In addition, the output level for the Lumix is much too low ... Even at full gain control on the camera to get normally never in the optimal level range.
For the GH3, the Micro is so MMN useless !!!
Have now returned (thanks Amazon easily) and the slightly more expensive Rode SVMpro purchased ... much better!
Much more compact, lighter weight, 3.5mm plug fits perfectly and for my purposes enormous advantage: the 20dB sound level increase ... Genial for "quieter sounds".
So overall a mixed conclusion for SVM from me ... and the urgent tip, rather something to take equal more money into their own hands and be really happy with the SVMpro end.
