The shoe is running very well and in particular the non-slip sole is at muddy passages a good grip. Workmanship and design are as usual by Brooks at a high level. I would recommend from personal experience, however, that one chooses a 1/2 size larger because of the shoe due to the Goretex membrane but less fails. I had at that time not known and unfortunately the shoe sits at my feet therefore a bit tight but still acceptable. The shoe is slightly heavier than the normal running shoes without membrane. I only have 3 stars awarded, since after the first run in really bad weather (after heavy rain and muddy ground) also this shoe after 10 minutes is completely soaked and you walk with this shoe as a shoe without a membrane (smacking noise with each step). A shoe without membrane might have been but after 5 minutes by the free of charge in the Goretex membrane one can give unless you do not want to walk more than 10 minutes. Only the good sole protection if the muddy ground before slipping. Be the problem at each Goretex running shoe is likely that the water does not penetrate through the sides but from the top over the leg and the pants. Only a gaiter (but who is already running with leggings), rubber boots or a cut hiking boot brings protection against the ingress of rainwater. I think after this experience, that the use of Goretex in running shoes and declaration as bad weather shoe is more of a marketing gimmick.
