[Update: more defects] had no expectations

[Update 28/12/2014] I've got my vote drastically revised downwards - in my review I wrote in the last sentence: "Let's see, how does the Sony model in long-term test". The result: In recent months, my models are broke down without any external assistance since the initial purchase five (!). One of the reasons I can not name, I treat my hardware very carefully. Symptoms: twice a channel either only very weak or no longer actively tested at several different playback devices. This defect occurred suddenly from one to the other second. Twice apparently said goodbye to the internal battery after charging. Switching was no longer possible. Once the Bluetooth handshake deteriorated so much that a crack-free playback only worked over a maximum distance of 30 to 40 centimeters. Unloading and re-coupling without result, also tested on several playback devices.

My conclusion after four identical models: Elekroschrott, in the truest sense of the word. The subject Sony headphones has done for me in the long term. That I might have only caught Monday models, I exclude in this accumulation.

I had to the Bluetooth headset no expectations, despite the relatively high price. Nevertheless, I am pleasantly surprised. Although the Sony model shows (like everyone else) weaknesses, but they are due to the comfort gain for me perfectly acceptable.
The sound is heavily influenced by the clip-on earpieces, you have both the right size and the correct position found in the ear (which is really important for's tonal result), convince the headphones with a powerful sound and a balanced spectrum.
If I really want to just listen to music, then I use naturally prefer my wired Beyerdynamics or Ultimate Ears, but for my Android or iOS smartphone SBH80 is just right. Because do not bother me even tonal, Bluetooth-related dropouts really. Especially as the distance between your smartphone and headset must be ten meters like ...
I really liked the fairly accurate indication of remaining battery life on Android. For continuous use of headphones by holding nearly seven hours. In standby there are allegedly three weeks, I could not check.
The lightweight battery in the neck does not bother me (not even go while running), the controls are logically placed and easy to operate, even without looking. On this point I can not share the criticism of Mitrezensenten that tactility of the keys is excellent - at least without gloves. The decor - even via NFC - worked right away.
