Due to a bad review that faulted, now worse cartridges would be marketed under the same name and the same reviews, I felt now called to significantly update my review. This addendum was posted on 09/11/2014.
A little over a year ago I ordered in Augst 2013 three 20-packs of cartridges in a mixed selection. Was delivered three cardboard boxes with 20 cartridges. These have a an eagle's head displayed on a sticker and each of Silver Trade GmbH in coming.
I Bislanghatte of nine black cartridges, five yellow and cyan cartridges printed up five and eight magenta cartridges. Had just a test print made and found that there was a lack neither black nor a colorful cartridges.
Unfortunately, I had supported the review bad review about the currently poor state of the cartridges supplied with a vote. But to my shame should it not be confirmed in terms of my own (recent) experience.
If you buy Silver Trade Amazon or directly from Silver Trade Silver Trade, so no shortage is observable.

Today I get my printer from Brother DCP-195C. Yesterday I got delivered the cartridges reviewed here. I was initially very suspicious. Because I had already bought 6000 both for my Epson Stylus SX110 and my HP Officejet cheap cartridges, which in one as in the other case was a violent bust.
A comparison with the original cartridges from Brother, I can not provide, but unfortunately only guess. Because the original cartridges I had never used, and instead used the cheap. Brother in the ink is passed via hoses to the sheet. The cleaning'd be designed accordingly complex and when mixing various inks, it's always such a thing ... So I wanted to start from now I from the very beginning of these cheap cartridges and stay.
I had used four cartridges and they were immediately recognized. That may be because, that there are probably at Brother cartridges for all printers and no chips. Other companies are trying by means of complex chips to prevent the use of other than original cartridges as possible. With Brother me was even during the installation process also encouraged to original cartridges but something great had. However, Brother does not try obvious to coerce the consumer too much.
Because I wanted to have a comparison with my previous and hitherto flawlessly running HP Officejet 6000 immediately, the Brother was immediately put to the test. On the one hand I was the capacity of the cartridges is interested, on the other hand the quality of printouts.
Quality
Recently I had printed out with my HP printer scanned passport photos. Here hung the Brother with the cheap cartridges clearly afterwards. The relation between the different colors did not agree easily. Brother some practical settings when printing are in place, but these bring nothing, if the interaction between the color is wrong. For example, choose to have the overall picture should be more or less yellow, red or blue. But that brings up nothing when the relations are not correct (I have experimented for some time with all erdenktlichen settings, but the result of the HP Brother came simply not approach).
It does not depend, in my view, however, the present cartridge, but rather the printer in general. This Brother printer is notorious for not being very good at photo printing.
However, this in no way mitigates the printouts in all other areas where I really liked the performance. In photos it must be level so that the printed exactly corresponds to the image on the screen. This is otherwise naturally much less relevant.
Quantity
Today I have just printed 18 full color A4 sheets covered, because I wanted to know how much filling have the cartridges. Depending on the cartridge have not paid off.
Right here I was however very pleasantly surprised. In the selected color mode "alive" and without further settings the leaves are already perfectly adequate covered with paint. Other settings or other color enhancement were unnecessary. After 18 full printed pages still had all four cartridges color.
Conclusion
For me as a student, it was at the printer and the cartridges present definitely a worthwhile purchase. This is now already definitely speakable. A printer need not necessarily be able to print photos perfectly from my perspective. Do you need the printer is not primarily or even exclusively for printing photos, it is more appropriate, in my view, to let take pictures elsewhere. This is very cost-effective today.
