I have now for about 2 weeks, the HTC One Mini 2 in use. I summarize my personal impressions times together:
+ Very nice and high quality workmanship
+ Long Akkulaufzeit- I can phone (Whatsapp calls, Navi, music) on my use use just two days
+ Sleep mode - Extends the battery life noticeably
+ Speaker you do not have a lot of writing, really great for a smartphone! For this purpose there are enough reviews :)
+ Camera - has 13 MP and makes correspondingly sharp images, you must highlight the very bright flash
+ Performance - so far everything is going smoothly, everything else can be taken from the data sheet and test reports
+ The establishment of the phone works great simply. The contact details are automatically transferred via Google
+ I think the size of the HTC fine with me. The One M8 was me definitely too big.
+ Super Fast GPS - It is enormous, I press on the icon for GPS and it takes less than 2 seconds, start to the navigation.
- A small minus: No pre-installed file manager. Here, however, creates an app that you can download, for Remedy
- Update 01/10/2014: send in Had my HTC because of the known microphone problem
- Update 07/05/2015: HTC announced an update to the mini 2. Now HTC has announced that it is now nevertheless give an update on Lollipop
- Update 07/05/2015: Now also my Vibratiopnsalarm went to his knees and stops working
Now a few words about a point of me was important. Namely, the coupling of the HTC with my vehicle (Audi A5):
I close my smartphone via AUX on to the vehicle. With my old phone the quality was lacking. Now the quality is worlds better, have rich bass and clear tones (I use no pre-installed media player, but Spotify). Generally when using external music device is recommended, earlier to disable the "boom sound" "Beats" because the sound is otherwise too bassy.
Another problem with the old phone was the pairing via Bluetooth hands-free order. It has hardly understood me and vice versa. This problem, I do not know more! It works wonderfully and I can finally take a clear conscience-car phone. The contacts are all automatically transferred to the vehicle.
Conclusion: There is nothing to complain about. The smartphone works and is sufficient for my needs from. Strong buy recommendation!
Update 27.08.2014- tips and more impressions:
After several weeks in use, I want to give feedback again. First of all, there have been no problems with the smartphone! The battery still holds as long as the first day. Required now to a small Negativpunkt- smartphone about 2 hours (or more) charged to complete. Whether this is now common, this is an isolated incident or it is completely normal, I can not comment unfortunately. However, this is a fact that bothers me very little! My final point regarding the battery is the power saving mode, to which I would like briefly. It is really convenient to use the power saving mode in daily life. The saving mode means that less cores are active, the screen is dimmed, the Mobile Internet is only switched on when the display is on (ie shortly from standby pick) and the vibration is off. You can imagine yes that very prolongs the battery life! The sleep mode is also individually adjustable! By the way: In flight mode, I've turned on overnight, the battery in 8 hours consumes approximately 1-2 percent.
I've been using the HTC One Mini 2 a corresponding sleeve. Here I can of Mumbi (I have them in black gekauft-> as the transparent protective cases discolor quickly yellowish according to other reviews) recommend. To this end, I have written but a separate Rezesion.

Here's a little, but unfortunately not encouraging update my review. After 4 or 5 weeks, I had also problems with the microphone. My interlocutor heard only a noise when I phoned them. But only if I "normal" ie without a headset or external devices the phone. I looked into the matter on the ground and noticed that even with voice recordings and videos a noise was only noticeable. Very annoying after such a short time! A cell phone may break down even once, is not a fracture. But what bothers me is that this is a known issue (see Internet forums and other reviews). If so there is a problem from the outset, we must not offer customers in my opinion, this smartphone easily for 400, but would have to go to the get to the bottom !!! Incidentally, refusing a new unit because the two-week deadline had expired, in me a new unit would have been entitled.
And now comes the second Hammer !! I have my cell phone posted on 04/09/2014 and today Retrieved 10/01/2014! There are just 4 time weeks have passed until I got back the phone. Nobody could tell me by phone, where the device is all about! It was at the factory repair with HTC itself. Bottom line, a very poor service !!!! At least now I have my smartphone again and it now runs (still) without problems. Incidentally, a total of 5 parts of HTC were exchanged, including camera and microphone.
Honestly? Normally I would have my vote of 5 stars modify 3. A star for a known defect and the second because of the poor service. I see the defect namely not as a single event, but as a permanent problem.
I put the rating but to 4 stars, as it still is a beautiful smartphone, in which there seems to be no other errors down to the micro problem. But the star of a review in my opinion are important. Update 05/07/2015:
As some have already written, there will be no update on Lollipop made me inexplicably! Beggründung is that the hardware is not designed for! In my opinion, not conclusive, because the updates are already available at the competition (ex. Sony Z1 Compact)!
In addition, my vibrator is broken now! Means to me that I have to send in the phone again.
Overall, I gained the phone less than a year, yet it has far too many flaws for a 400 smartphone. In addition, the support is not good (no update, long repair times).
Because of my "long experience" with the phone, I classify my rating of 4 stars down to 2.
