Only play, then evaluate !!

I have to now also times a few (very positive) words about the game exits.

In order for the review and the reader can be properly assessed, here the data for previous experience:

So first from the beginning: I have long wondered whether I should buy myself a PS3 (to play alone at Racing). Correct Racing (with cockpit view and tendency to simulation), there are, unfortunately, only a handful. Unfortunately, the reviews fall, in my opinion, not always well thought out (see. Heading). Also I've been absolutely delighted with CMR in 2005 and wish so a title for the PS3 - so let's see what the people so to this game (only real rally offshoot) mean here.

Conclusion: I almost bought me no PS3 (the game comes in the assessments and evaluations not just good way other titles also have their quirks - is worthwhile because even a PS3?)

... Fortunately I have yet won through to purchase and have to say:

"This game is absolutely amazing!"

You probably have already extensively mentioned smears:
- Engine sound is in some cars not the bringer (Loeb`s Citroen hears himself in the red speed range like a vacuum cleaner absaufender)
- The menu and presentation of career (no movies as cutscene) in the game is made boring
- Og car has suddenly in the career, the Ford RS - Cockpit)
- Group B - classic is only available as DLC
- Number of routes (78 in 13 countries, where it is actually only 3 per country and these will be additionally driven backwards with possibly a curve change)
- No night driving (only in Spain it is "dark")
- Any weather conditions (it rains and not snowing)
- Does not support the manual transmission (in Rally game but also suicide to take one hand off the steering wheel, so dear in the shift paddles remain)

BUT: Be honest - if you want a great rally game, can here (no need here) for you!

Among the critics:
- Ride is with a little practice (that's why I also mentioned the playing time) really succeeded. Initially equal to select a WRC car and you can not get decent through the tracks! But you play the career and enhances both the performance of the car and gets in passing a decent feel for the routes (through enough repetitions of routes over the career), then you go and at the end of the WRC cars without aids (brake assist, power steering systems, etc. .) and have a direct impact of damage on the driving behavior (here it should be mentioned: even the damage model is impressive absolute; see cracks in the disc compared to Shift 2 or Grid) properly through the lines !!. The control is absolutely precise and by the drift of the curve the rally feeling absolutely great over (without becoming too strong for arcade game (see. Rally is another offshoot)
- Who does not need a presentation of all banners, Sponsorenvergötterung, fireworks and X-Games flair and just want to go just a reasonably long stage for the best time is served here correct and adequate. Amazing thing is that all have equal screamed that this is totally boring and you should wait for Dirt 3. And then write, probably the same people about Dirt 3, that it has not become a pure Rally game and the stages too short and the country (4 pieces) is too low.
- The graphics are absolutely fine (as I said, those games you go in one of the two cockpit views) and look very good. The environment graphics are impressive (if one it from the cockpit view has absolutely an eye. There was still the same an outcry that the video was not up to date. And now all these critics are also of the view as the trees :) a highly acclaimed GT 5 disappointed)

Conclusion:
One should soberly assess what you actually get from the game and what is currently feasible in the market. I see the game from the graphics, the steering, the feel and the gameplay with other already published games and not with many years bred expectations and promise of the future appearing games (but which then meet up for some only partly).
I have played the game at the same time with other current racing games (so I can compare this well in my opinion and I am not influenced by anticipation, certain expectations or time interval in appearance anyway).
The game I can therefore absolutely recommend it and the little quirks make me not from the 5 stars! But the game has namely what is important: it offers total gameplay and replayability (arising especially in racing games primarily through precise steering and enough variety - everything else is a nice "extras" that leads initially to wow effects , after a period when one has seen enough but is beside the point).

Anyone considering to give the game a chance, can still wait a few days to the WRC in 2011 (includes mostly the WRC 2010 - certainly enhanced a bit in graphic and other points something) - it is an unfortunate yes goes the cry again going and I fear that already in publication month the game will be re inundated with negative criticism ("I got me more hopes," "But there is not much new," etc.) Then write but again: "we want CMR 2005 or RBR with mature content and use an updated graphics "- considered but first what you want, then the games tested neat / detail and then you may also write a serious review!

... What a luck that I've grasped despite the reviews, both for PS3, as well as to this game!
