Many reviews make it fairly easy to locate and the NEX-5 between compact camera and DSLR beginners. This results in many of the impression that the Kamerea indeed can take better pictures than a cheap clippers, but at the right photographing then but a "real" DSLR would be necessary.
This is not so and depending on persöhnlichen requirements, the NEX-5 well to eingies suitable also for ambitious photographers as a mid-range DSLR. I myself was until recently owner of a Canon EOS 50D (and before 400D) - quite a nice camera with very good handling. But can take pictures you only if you have too, and a 1.5kg camera (+ accessories) is not something you simply times always plugging. And this is precisely where the strength of the NEX-5, which fits into any jacket pocket.
Of course, this advantage must be bought with compromises, but the nice thing about the NEX-5 is just that the picture quality is not one of these compromises, because the sensor is the same size and powerful as with all other APS-C DSLRs. With what you have to live is that of comfort with the settings in manual mode some suffering, at 3 buttons and a wheel, it can not be prevented that you have to click some a little longer. And of course there is no viewfinder, since no table exists - no doubt a disadvantage which, however, mitigated by the herrvorragenden LCD screen.
The only thing that still really bothers me is the lack of variety of lenses and accessories (in particular, a stronger lightning or flash remote release). Sony has already stated here innovations, but right now it looks a bit boring.
My conclusion: Who drives off directly to make pictures of some subjects and not a problem to lug has a photo backpack is often better served with DSLRs because they offer greater convenience when shooting itself and even more accessories are available.
But who wants to have a Kamerea, he can always take with you on excursions normal to have them exploring a beautiful motif at hand, while willing to accept any loss of image quality, is not necessarily wrong with the NEX-5.
