Received today the FANTEC SQ-35U3. Chic Gebäuse. Then I installed a hard drive (2TB Hitachi) and the housing connected via included USB 3.0 cable. The drive was also recognized directly under Win7 / 64bit.

But then came the disappointment: It takes place every few seconds reconnect, even during ongoing reads and writes. The connection breaks off and the drive is re-mounted. Also, Seagate and WD hard drive with 2 TB I had tested with the same result. The USB 3.0 interface used on the PC (NEC chip) running with other external USB enclosures but completely free of errors. eSATA and USB 2.0 operation on I have not tested. Either I had received a so-called Monday device or the USB 3.0 interface in the Fantec housing still has some serious problems.
In any case, the device returns.
