I still have my Citizen 120D (9-pin dot matrix) purchased with an Atari computer, used for declaring a PC with Epson FX-800 as the Citizen Information Form suggested. My PC is dead, is the new Windows 7. Within minutes, the correct setting is made as follows: 1 - Connect the cable and turn on the printer, Windows 7 recognizes in Control Panel Devices and Printers then an IEEE1284 controller. Select Install Printer .then install a local printer. Do not automatically with Windows Update, there is no result for printing, no existing driver. (Even on Citizen or Epson sites). In the plant there is the path of choice for the Port, NOT choose LPT1 is the first classic choice, but Use Existing Port and go lower to check the USB001 box. The next panel list of printers, select EPSON FX Series 1 (80). (Not the 890 that prints a few lines of code preceding your text to be printed). Then you just declare the added printer Epson FX Series 1 (80) as the default printer, this is done with the right-click its icon and choice in the no default menu, or in your treatment text when printing you must check the choice of printer. I print without problems.
