After my old Linksys Desktop Switch blessed eternity, I had looked around for an inexpensive alternative. It should be a desktop switch again, but I would not need a gigabit switch. At first I was a bit skeptical when I had unpacked the small external power supply, but fortunately it is not particularly warm. The switch itself is also not too warm; so I could well obstruct the switch below a furniture boards. The mounting holes on the back or underside of the screw heads pass but diagonally to the housing edges. Always something new. The case itself is well made; sharp edges, etc. I could not find. Even on a 24/7-operation the power LED does not disturb me personally. The display is easy to read, without that it would bother me in the dark. However, I'm not sure if I would make the switch to the bedroom without covering the LED. Neither Switch PSU still be in operation from significant noise such as noise, hum, etc.. I also know of a few different AC adapters. All in all I am happy with the switch. Even on a 24/7-operation has so far been no problems.
