Sometimes lack a little clarity. Helpful explanations could be added in places (eg in order to justify the exercise 10 page 56 we take positive values of "energy levels of the mercury atom"). The part on the color of objects is built in the middle of a great chapter "Color, Vision and Images", wedged between two major parts on the optical lens.
To master the course thoroughly, my advice is to fill exercises. This excellent book can be usefully supplemented the physics and chemistry of S 1st book "100% exos" from Hatier, which offers a particularly interesting deepening exercises.
