Having recover data on an old PC which Window98 environment was not working, I purchased this adapter that is not the most expensive or the cheapest. It completely met my expectations and getting started is very simple. Furthermore, I can now make use of the hard drive as a casual external drive. The least: I have not managed to start up the mini CD and instructions explanation is not of great clarity but I'm kind of hesitant in IT and ultimately installaion is simple, the Vista PC has recognized the result.
