Positives:
+ Datasets in operation are written and read with good performance (as promised by the manufacturer)
+ Battery lasts for a Wi-Fi network in the read stream for a single-user its 3-4 hours, depending on the term breaks

- Device goes after 30 seconds without read access in the stand-by and takes about 30 seconds to be re-activated, which is incredibly annoying, because data is buffered and you wait again 30 seconds (for example, when listening to MP3 music.) may, until a data access is possible again, which sometimes a stream tears off completely

At the time when I had bought this device, there was the price-performance ratio in the manufacturer no comparable good offer. The clear advantage here was in an external medium with massive data storage and to autarg of the Strumzufuhr via built-in battery. In addition, you can grant multiple users access to the disk at the same time via WLAN.
Here it is dissipated by the extremely short stand-by time, the joy quickly when it comes to data to stream as MP3 (which even with videos sometimes it is), because the data is geputtert and the plate then like to happily rushes to the stand, which would not be a tragedy if it did not need more than 30 seconds to get back on their feet.

As a pure data unit is only for uploading datasets prepared as images for backups ok, but as something else goes better.
Possibly doing it as well as a simple smartphone on a budget with Wi-Fi hotspot function and a SDHC card slot.
