Useful with quirks

Purchase decisive was the recording possibility of DAB + for me - (and FM) programs if you're traveling somewhere. Receive / sensitivity to DAB + is quite good and you also have opportunities to emfangen in unfavorable positions weaker ensemble if you placed the device at the optimum position. And thanks to the telescopic antenna work then without headphones through the internal speaker. These speaker sound one may not have great expectations put in size, but is ok for me
FM does not go with the telescopic antenna. Without the headphones to be used as an antenna, is heard on FM only noise. With headphones, the FM reception of selectivity and sensitivity for the device size in the upper midfield. When headphones are plugged the speaker is always off.
Unfortunately, my telescopic antenna is already bent, very stable was not. I do not know if and how I can get replacement since. Without work the radio with headphones (as an antenna) but also via DAB + well. Use it however in well-served areas.

Getting used to and not as optimal the menu navigation via the one is reached via a long press on the rotary dial.
Storing and retrieving favorites (10 DAB + and 10 FM) is cumbersome and requires 3 or 4 times press plus scroll. As a standard list to scroll goes just the overall list, not the favorites list. If you are traveling in different coverage areas, where half of the stations eventually found is not available, this is suboptimal ... (show so only valid stations) Station Order "Valid" does not help there.

The unit supports recording and Timeshift. For Timeshift pressing the red button briefly, then stops it and you can then later continue listening and with the wheels in the current recording before and rewind. But you can save this recording not subsequently permanently when you are finished off TimeShift recording. If you want to record and save a program, the red button to press it longer. But then you can hear only live, Timeshift during recording then is not. The out took some time. (A manual I have not read)

Crashes, there was unfortunately already. Mainly when changing from useful in difficult reception location or back to where then probably too much current is needed at the same time. With a long press on / off button the device is working properly again. A previously while recording is of course unfortunately gone ...

I do not regret the purchase, is the purpose of it.
Whether there are now cheaper, better alternatives, I can not judge currently. The offer at DAB + devices is unfortunately still unclear as to the actual supported functions.
