The Denon DBT 1713 is indeed very high quality, but is called Universal Blu-ray Player by no means do justice. CDs, DVDs (whether original or backup) he invites very quickly and play them easily from high quality. But all Blu Rays, which I wanted to play, he has either not detected or playback stutters and faltered. The drive noises are too loud for a mid-range device. Anyone can cost players better. I have returned the unit and bought a Philipps BDP 5700. The plays everything from hesitation.
