The intention was a private use on Win8 / 64 with 4 IMAP accounts with different providers.
During the install routine could still choose whether the 32 or 64bit version you want to install, ... well.
When setting up the first account of the trouble began.
IMAP folders, which are not required because they are system folders of the provider but not expected folder OL2013 though, despite the appropriate check mark could not be hidden.
In other providers to sync folders were not even found and it creates local folders that are not synced to the server.
Would not be so bad if you could manually select as Thunderbird, the correct folder or on the server this could designate OL-expected.
None.
Reason: the modern "XLIST" procedure has been implemented in OL2013. It only works if the provider offering also. Power but nowhere near any large of provider.
From here it was over, Outlook has to INVEST ruin.
Diverse Founds the Internet confirmed these unresolved issues (among other inconsistencies), the Microsoft my impression after only ignorance and / or inability to oppose has.
Conclusion:
- Who the barren surface of OL2013 like (choice of 3 very similar poor, unimaginative Skins!)
- Happy times longer waits for mail delivery (TB had the mail immediately, OL despite clicking "Send / Receive" 15min nothing done) and
- Happens to have the right provider,
the love can do.
I have 100 burnt, wasted many hours with Tinnef and stay now at Thunderbird. The kriegens least baked.
PS:
All Office (OL) updates were installed, of course.
