[Team Fortess 2] As a longtime player of Team Fortress Classic, I have followed the development of the successor interested and hope for a publication then but eventually abandoned. The appearance of the game in October 2007, then me very surprised. Despite great concerns about your skill and the strong censorship of the German version I bought this game alone for the Orange Box. It was worth it. Team Fortress 2 amuses me how many years no longer a game. It was very brave to choose such a comic style á la Pixar's "The Incredibles", but it was worth it. It's just great and wonderful to see. In addition, the accompanying self-mockery of the game is refreshing and loosening. As opposed to any censorship, I must admit that my blood, etc. not missing and the graphical "solution" has succeeded for the German market. Team Fortress 2 is fully designed for team play and is in this regard by a great idea, well ausblanaciert player classes and good maps just perfect. Technically the game is flawless, I found no bugs or network problems. (A note: The comic graphics are no less hardware hungry when games with realistic graphics like Half-Life 2 or Crysis.)
[Portal] Portal is more of a demo for a feature, which is used in the future in a certain game from Valve. In "Prey" was allowed to admire similar already. Despite very entertaining game fun and portal offers an interesting atmosphere and intelligent puzzles. The final battle is awesome - if you take a listen to the computer throughout ...
[Episode Two] After boring Episode One I had actually been my interest in Half-Life lost. Episode Two is against a drumbeat with intriguing story, new enemies and great levels. In contrast to the witty Team Fortress 2 me the blood and the corpses are missing here already. To outsiders this may sound perverse, playful but that is simply necessary, because I no longer see whether I have met an opponent or have done by "blind" throwing grenades in a house, for example.
[Half-Life 2 and Episode One] You pay now twice? What's the point? I do not know it either. Unlike the reference price on Steam this box is still extremely low. I had the Orange Box also bought only with the three titles Team Fortress 2, Portal and Episode Two, thus going fine for me.
