Vantage HD 8000C, HDTV cable receiver

For me, the device is now already a few weeks in operation. In summary, I can only say:
- Excellent image quality (I use a Philips Full HD LCD)
- Exemplary service, great GUI
- Full connectivity
- Excellent remote control, clearly and logically structured, good feel, good design, a button is also suitably for two anlernbaren IR commands. (I turn my LCD and so my amplifier on standby)
- The inaudible in operation small fan> cold appliances Air. No heat build-up problem
- Very low standby power consumption
- Class Design

So do not be fooled by numerous test reports etc. ---> himself to try. For me, anyway, the Vantage was a good buy and the unit will play until now without any problems.

Small disadvantage: (but is actually none): The internal hard drive is optional and must be installed in addition to the supplied small fans themselves. (This is of course the necessary expertise badly needed). If you follow the manufacturer's recommendations is also the subject checked quickly. I have installed a Seagate Pipeline HD.2 500GB S-ATA disk.

So from my side an unqualified recommendation for VANTAGE. (Even though it is different in other forums)
