A small measuring cup is part of it, tucked in the cover. The liter information can be found, unfortunately, only on the back of the stainless steel container, are forward-OZ specifications. The keys are labeled in English, but "Smooth, Chunky, Heat, On / Off and Stir" can be even without much knowledge of English use.
The machine can not only cook soups but also pudding, prepare cocktails and smoothies and crushing ice. Unfortunately, there are in the instruction manual, no additional tips and recipes, so you have to grope himself as best to deal with the device. Operating the Soup Chef
For soups, there are 3 different heat settings and the option lumps (Chunky button) or fine (Smooth button). I've tried both, but could not notice any major differences there. I thought that at the Smooth button, the soup is pureed automatically, but you have to regulate even the basis of the mix function (Stir).
Unfortunately, the program selection is quite limited and there is no way to set the time or heat in its sole discretion, minimum duration 25 minutes. Also a part of the display (timer) can not read without bending down, when you stand in front.
Otherwise, the operation is simple, give liquid along with the ingredients for the soup in the pot and then select the program. The machine stirs in between and also controls the heat. Liquids are heated as fast as with a kettle.
Practically, I find that one in between still ingredients on the cover to give, if the measuring cup is removed. The portions are enough for 2-3 people. There is also a minimum amount of 0.8 liters, so that can not be smoothies or similar mix in mini-quantities.
Cleaning
The food jar is dishwasher safe, but cleaning is done quickly. Instead of soup is simply water boiled briefly with a drop of dish soap in it and so the leftovers from the knife or container solve without scrubbing off.
