Photo and color of light:
I've long wondered whether I order a reflector as SMO (smooth) or LOP (slightly speckled).
A LOP (Light-Orange-Peel) states that the light is a little softer. What I liked a lot in the course between spot and flood. I like these tough transitions with a very bright core and clearly contrasting drum rum not what nature so conditioned at SMO would be the case.
The photograph is so - for a really purebred Thrower (So Far spotlight) - very pleasant.
Nevertheless, this lamp shines thanks to the large reflector really very very far ... and there still really bright.
I have in my collection so far no lamp which - despite the LOP reflector - as far radiates.
The Lumen specifications and ranges are entirely correct.
The 1B Bin - So Light color - is actually strictly speaking a CW (cold white) and therefore may not be suitable for nature lovers.
However, I was pleasantly surprised that my lamp has therefore come at a very neutral to even slightly warm light color.
LED and brightness:
The maximum brightness is unequivocally with the currently installed here XML2 - reaches U2.
This has nothing to do with the color temperature. So this LED should be preferred over all other types of LEDs in my opinion here. If only for the brightness to be achieved.
Handling:
This lamp is to settle terms of size between EDC and a large lamp brand ThruNite TN35.
Which means that you can still reasonably well bear in Gürtelholster this lamp.
In the hand, this lamp is however in through the attached to the tailcap switch in tactical attitude is very good and balanced.
Power supply:
This lamp is - as usual in this class - powered by a 18650 cell.
Thanks to the spring loaded positive pole should preferably use flat-top (flat positive) battery here.
Light modes:
What I see as very annoying principle are all those Blinky modes (strobe, SOS) which actually disturb more than use in everyday life.
With this lamp you can get rid of by a trick of flashing modes.
Just in low mode wait until the lamp flashes once. Then instantly switch to brief press (not switch) and off afterwards. After a short wait, and then on again, the Blinky modes away.
The 3 usable modes LOW - MID - HIGH I find very balanced and adequate for everyday use.
The description is "8 Modes" either extremely wrong so ... or I have a different model.
Processing:
The build quality is impeccable ... the black anodized layer is properly and without errors.
In summary, I can this lamp so all those highly recommended, which are looking for a really bright and at the same time extremely far radiant light ... in combination with a very handy size.
The waiting period of about 1 month for a China Shipping and event. Pick up at customs is definitely worth it.
