Mag-Lite flashlights are probably familiar to everyone and their quality is proverbial, but the Globigen, heavy flashlights are so well known that this brand not for everyone, as the Mag-Tac is just 13 cm long and weighs, with batteries, thanks to aluminum body only 150 g. The Mag-Tac lamp takes about the design of the older XL-100 model, to dispense with the motion control technology and makes this model something simpler. The rubberized switch is like the current flashlights in the rear end of the lamp, it is easily embedded to avoid unwanted operation. Allowed after pressing the selector again, the lamp goes off again immediately, very convenient because I do not want to permanently illuminate the darkness when I'm eg traveling with the dog. As is often enough a small flash to illuminate the way. If you want continuous light must press the button 2 times quickly, then the light will stay on at 100%. The luminosity is enormous, 100 m or more are no problem for this lamp. Here, the light cone can be focussed something. The brightness is truly remarkable, in that light escapes a nothing more !!
Who wants to save his batteries a little, there are 2 x 3V 123er cells needed to switch 3 pushes times quickly and the lamp is approximately only 1/3 as bright, saves energy and is easier on the eyes at close range. The repeatedly pressing is initially a bit unusual but you get used to it.
The housing is sealed, so even in bad weather operational and reliable. But it is not underwater lamp! The aluminum body can look very sophisticated and is good grip, according to the manufacturer 1 m height of fall harmless. Enclosed is an about 8 cm long can be mounted using the supplied tool easily on the flashlight plastic clip. The clip is strong and not sharp as some metal clip.
The Mag-Tac is an ideal companion for the dark hours, small and easy to fit into your pocket, but provides with its enormous luminosity some big, bulky lamp in the shadows.
A clear recommendation for everyday use as well as for the more adventurous.
