After my three metallic sink drains were rusted through after 17 years or less (stanchions broke when unscrewing the holding with Hand up) and on the other hand the plastic effluent at the kitchen sink at the same age or less is still new, I decided for two plastic drains. They cost about 10% of the waste 3 sinks used by me, metallic. These I have used, since it is directly visible, but the plastic drain fittings "disappear" in a closet. But I must say that they are also at least optically clearly superior to the old metal sanitary fittings. So in my view, a good choice and a great value for all.
